His Excellency Sheikh Faisal bin Thani bin Faisal Al Thani was appointed Minister of Commerce and Industry in November 2024. He brings extensive leadership and management experience, having held numerous senior positions in both local and international institutions.

Currently, His Excellency holds several prominent roles in Qatar. He serves as Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Doha Investment. He also serves as Chairman of the Boards of the Qatar Free Zones Authority, the Qatar Financial Centre Authority, and Qatar Stock Exchange. He chairs the Advisory Board of the Investment Promotion Agency (Invest Qatar) and serves as Chairman of the Advisory Board of Companies House.

His Excellency also serves as Chairman of the Boards of Directors of Ooredoo Group and Lesha Bank, and as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Qatar Development Bank (QDB). In addition, he serves as a member of the Boards of Directors of Qatar Airways Group and Qatar Insurance Company.

He also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Qatar Investment Authority, as well as a member of the Supreme Council for Economic Affairs and Investment, the National Planning Council, and the Supreme Committee for the Preparation of the Third National Development Strategy.

During his career, His Excellency served as Chief Investment Officer for Asia and Africa at the Qatar Investment Authority, in addition to holding several other leadership positions. He served as Chief Investment Officer at the Qatar Foundation Endowment from 2014 to 2017 and played a key role in managing investments at the Qatar Central Bank from 2010 to 2014.

His Excellency also served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Qatar Banking Studies and Business Administration Secondary School and as Vice Chairman of Vodafone Qatar from 2013 to 2016. In addition, he served on the boards of several prominent organisations, including Ahlibank, Qatari Diar Real Estate Investment Company, Nakilat, Bharti Airtel, and Siemens Qatar.

His Excellency Sheikh Faisal bin Thani bin Faisal Al Thani holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Marymount University in the United States of America and an Executive Master’s degree in Business Administration from HEC Paris.

His Excellency Mohammed Al Mana has extensive experience in security and defense in the public sector occupying various security and enforcement roles with the Qatari Police and the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Mr. Al Mana is President of the Qatar weight-lifting and of the Afro-Asian weightlifting committee in Qatar and the Asian weightlifting Federation Qatar and the Arab weightlifting Federation Qatar and the Qatar Fencing Federation, and the first vice president of the Qatar Olympic Committee. He is also an elected member of Al Shura Council and Chairman of the financial and economic committee – Qatar Parliament within the Al Shura Council. Mr. Al Mana holds Bachelor’s Degree in Internal Security and in legal law and enforcement and Shari’a Law.

His Excellency Hamad Al Mannai, previously worked as a Director of the Office of the Minister at the Ministry of economy and trade. Mr. Hamad was the former CEO of Knowledge Ventures and Meeza and serves on multiple boards of directors, including the Qatar Financial Markets Authority, Qatar Development Bank, Qatar National Broadband Network (Qnbn), Gulf Bridge International, and Mwani Qatar. He played a significant role in the liberalization of the telecommunications sector in Qatar during his tenure as Head of Regulatory Policy at the Supreme Council for Communications and Information Technology.

He has also made notable contributions by chairing several national committees, including the Committee for Enhancing the Private Sector’s Contribution to the National Economy and the Logistics Committee.

Mr. Al Mannai holds a Masters of Wireless communication Engineering and Masters of Engineering Management from the Florida Institute of Technology (USA) . He also hold a graduate certificate in public policy from George Washington university.

His Excellency Meshaal Al Mahmoud has been a Board Member, and member of the Board Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee in Lesha Bank LLC  since 2024. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in finance from Suffolk University in Boston.

Mr. Mohammed currently serves as CEO of Azum Real Estate Investment Company. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management and Accounting from Qatar University.

Mr. Nasser Al Hajri is a Board Member of Lesha Bank since 2024. He is also a member of the Board Nomination, Remuneration, and Corporate Governance Committee (“NRCGC”). He holds a doctorate in Finance and Banking from Abdelmalek Essaadi University in Morocco.

Mr Eisa Al Mohannadi  held various administrative and senior positions at Ooredoo Qatar going from being Director of Revenue Assurance and Compliance at the company to becoming its Senior Director of Finance between 2013 and 2021, after which he was promoted to the position of CFO which he still holds today. Mr. Al Mohannadi also occupies the position of Board Member at Ooredoo Palestine and Oman, and at QLM Life and Medical Insurance Company. He holds a BA in Business Administration and Finance from Marymount University and an MBA in Business Administration and Digital Transformation from HEC Paris.

Mr. Abdulrahman Totonji has been a Board Member of Lesha Bank and is a member of the Board Executive Committee and the Board Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee since 2024. He serves as the Chairman of Starlink and Managing Partner at Shift Group of companies.

Mr. Totonji holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from George Washington University and a Master’s Degree in Real Estate from Georgetown University.

Mr. Nasser Al Misnad worked for five years at Barzan Holdings in the field of Strategic Capabilities, and he is currently a Board member at Qatari Investors Group and Vodafone Qatar.
